Experimental Investigation of the Characteristics and Transformation Mechanism of Jimsar Oil Shale and Derived Shale Oil

An experimental investigation of the characteristics and transformation mechanism Jimsar oil shale derived was conducted using a solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer (13C NMR), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), liquid 1H NMR, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) techniques. The carbon skeleton structure is mainly composed aliphatic carbons (70.5%), mostly containing straight-chain methylene (CH2), aromatic (29.31%). Derived primarily made compounds that are dominated by n-alkanes alkenes (comprising more than 70%). nature conversion to decomposition groups structures in organic matter. Additionally, as heating rate increased, secondary cracking reactions could increase contents short-chain alkanes alkenes, which then enhance polymerization generation cycloalkanes compounds. Shale demonstrates maximum yield value 6.32%, largest carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen contents, minimum oxygen content at pyrolysis 5 °C/min.
